EPubFm2 is a quick and easy way to convert unstructured (or structured) Adobe FrameMaker® documents and books to the epub format. It adds a EPubFm menu item to the FrameMaker menubar. One menu item brings up the project dialog, allowing the user to create or modify a project. A project can specify a list of FrameMaker source files (Documents and Books), as well as other options for the creation of the epub file, cover info, metadata and table of contents.
EPubFm2 can generate an epub file from any combination of FM documents and books, as well as use a custom cover document.
EPubFm2 can use FrameScript to automate ebook production.
EPubFm2 works with FrameMaker versions 6.0, 7.0, 7.2, 8.0, 9.0 and 10.
EPubFm2 can also convert an epub document to the mobi format (for use on Amazon Kindles®), with a Convert to Mobi menu item*.
Have a book to publish? Load it into FrameMaker (it's not there already?), use EPubFm2 to save it as epub file, then sent it off to Amazon.
Use your favorite design tool (FrameMaker) to produce these items, use EPubFm2 to convert it to an ebook, then copy it to an e-reader.
Just need a compact way of sending information to someone's iPad or other mobile device? Get it into FrameMaker, use EPubFm2 to convert it to an epub file, then send it off. Epub files are usually many times smaller than the corresponding pdf files.
